Alert: 911 Called From Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard Estate

(Republican Leader) – A tragedy has unfolded in Martha’s Vineyard and it happened right in the backyard of former president Barack Obama. Divers have found the body of a missing 43-year-old paddleboarder who vanished Sunday evening while he was out with another paddleboarder on Edgartown Great Pond in Massachusetts.

The body was located in the water that backs up to Obama’s opulent $12 million estate where crews were dispatched after a 911 call from the property.

Witnesses explained to police that the missing man went underwater, briefly reappeared and then went under again around 7:46 pm.

A huge joint-agency search effort was undertaken for the black male who was last seen wearing all black with no life jacket.

Sunday night, searchers recovered his paddleboard and a hat he had been wearing but his body was not found until Monday around 10 am in the eight-foot-deep water approximately 100 feet from the shore.

Massachusetts State Police explained:

“Shortly before 10 AM the body of the missing paddle boarder was recovered from Edgartown Great Pond by Massachusetts State Police divers.

MSP Underwater Recovery Unit divers made the recovery after the victim’s body was located by a Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers deploying side-scan sonar from a boat.

As previously noted, the victim is a 43-year-old male. His name is not being released at this time; we expect to release his name later today.”

“The recovery was made approximately 100 feet from shore at a depth of about eight feet.

The investigation into the fatality is being conducted by the State Police Detective Unit for the Cape and Islands District and Edgartown Police.”

The rescue mission was carried out by the US Coast Guard, Edgartown Fire, Air Wing, detectives, and Dukes County Sheriff’s Department with the use of divers and boats with side-scan sonar. USCG helicopter crews were also involved.

The body was ultimately located with sonar from a boat used by environmental police.

The rescue mission’s command post was set up at Wilson’s Landing which is across the narrow cove from Obama’s mansion.

State police are now investigating the man’s death with the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office and Edgartown police.

A dispatch call from Sunday night stated: “Edgartown Fire and Water rescue personnel, Turkeyland Cove Road. For a 40-year-old male, possible drowning.”

Around 10 pm on Sunday night the Edgartown Police said in a statement: “EPD is assisting multiple agencies searching for a missing adult male paddle boarder in Edgartown Great Pond. Please remain away from this area and allow emergency responders to perform their search.”

The man’s body was found just yards away from Obama’s massive seven bedroom, 6,892-square-foot home along the water which he bought in 2019 for $11.75 million.

Being the president of the United States sure is a profitable gig nowadays, except for President Trump, of course, who has not gained at all from his time in the Oval Office since he dared to actually care about the American people.
