(Republican Leader) – The Deep State element that lies beneath the surface of our government, particularly in the Department of Justice, is once again attempting to take down former President Donald Trump, for what feels like the hundredth time. Why do they keep on doing this? Simple. Their mission is to take Trump out of the 2024 presidential race because Biden is afraid to face him a second time, knowing that his attempts to lie, cheat, and steal another election won’t be enough to save him from the American people who he has angered through horrific, destructive policies.
According to Randy DeSoto of The Western Journal, the DOJ has officially indicted Trump on charges of mishandling classified documents. Folks, it should be obvious by now that the 45th president of our great nation has the Deep State scared out of their minds. If they didn’t find him to be a colossal threat to what they were trying to accomplish, they wouldn’t be attacking him so frequently.
ABC News revealed that Trump has been given a summons to appear in a federal court located in Miami, Florida next Tuesday.
“There appears to be at least seven counts here. This ranges from everything from the willful retention of national defense information to conspiracy to a scheme to conceal to false statements and representations,” ABC’s Katherine Faulders stated.
The former president posted a response to news of the indictment on Truth Social saying, “The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware.”
“I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States,” he continued. “I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!”
The indictment comes almost 10 months after the Federal Bureau of Investigation sent agents to Trump’s Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, where they seized boxes of documents. Out of the 11,000 documents that were taken from the property, around 100 of them had classified markings on them.
“Trump said at the time that the raid was entirely unnecessary because he was willing to turn over any documents the National Archives wanted and that as president he had the authority to unilaterally declassify any document he had in his possession,” DeSoto wrote. “According to The Hill, special counsel Jack Smith had for months been calling witnesses before a Washington, D.C., federal grand jury looking into the matter, but in recent weeks a handful of witnesses had been called before a federal grand jury convened in Florida.”
A target letter was also sent out to the former president from Smith’s office informing him that he is currently the subject of an investigation.
“The point of a target letter is to put the subject on notice that they are facing the prospect of indictment,” the news outlet reported.
“GOP Sen. Ted Cruz — who was previously solicitor general of Texas — shared how he thinks the DOJ is trying to differentiate the classified documents cases involving Trump and Biden,” The Western Journal noted.
“I think [Attorney General] Merrick Garland planned to indict President Trump over classified documents. I think he was giddy with excitement over indicting President Trump,” Cruz remarked during an interview with Fox Business before news of the indictment came out on Thursday.
“And then, miracle upon miracles, it became public that Joe Biden had classified documents stuck just about everywhere, including literally in his garage next to his Corvette. And that suddenly put Merrick Garland in a difficult position legally, but also politically,” Cruz added.
Cruz then explained that it would prove to be far too much of a double standard to indict Trump and ignore Biden’s violation of laws pertaining to the handling of classified documents, so the Justice Department would focus on related charges, such as obstruction.
