(Republican Leader) – Vice President Kamala Harris has a habit of lying and embellishing just like the rest of the Biden regime. Unsurprisingly, their lies are never called out by members of the mainstream establishment media. So it’s shocking that on Sunday, CNN commentator Scott Jennings actually slammed Harris for her disingenuous criticism of Florida’s new social studies curriculum.
“This is a completely made-up deal,” Jennings said on “State of the Union.”
The issue revolves around a single insignificant sentence from a 216-page document that was approved Wednesday by the state Board of Education.
“Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit,” the new standards say.
Naturally, Harris and other radical leftists took this one sentence and ran to wild conclusions, distorting it all along the way.
On Friday, she insisted during a speech in Jacksonville, Florida, that “extremists” in the Sunshine State “want to replace history with lies.”
“Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” she asserted.
Jennings did not hold back and blasted the absurdity of Harris’ claims.
“I looked at the standards. I even looked at an analysis of the standards, in every instance where the word slavery or slave was used. I even read the statement of the African-American scholars that wrote the standards — not Ron DeSantis, but the scholars,” he stated.
“Everybody involved in this says this is completely a fabricated issue. And yet look how quickly Kamala Harris jumped on it.”
Meanwhile, fellow CNN analyst Ashley Allison took issue with Jennings’ defense of the new standards based on who created them. She also promoted the lie that Harris is spreading. (This is CNN after all).
“And just because black people write it don’t mean — that doesn’t mean it’s going to be accurate. Like, we can disagree as black people as well,” she remarked, as per a CNN transcript.
Despite the quick effort to cut Jennings off and support Harris, his criticism of her was heard and is true. This is a made up issue just like 99% of the issues being taken on by the regime.
Jennings seemed to be keenly aware of the fact that Harris is only motivated by politics as he mentioned Florida Gov. and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis. Harris is just looking for ways to make DeSantis look bad right now even if it means lying.
You’d think someone who has reached historically low approval ratings might want to try and stick to the facts instead of attempting to whip up supporters with lies and propaganda. Harris and the entire regime treat Americans like little children that are just too gullible to think for themselves.
Americans, however, are seeing right through the lies at a much higher rate than ever before. The corrupt government is being exposed and the people are rejecting the misinformation, empty rhetoric and bombastic platitudes of the left.
It’s hard to believe Kamala Harris is actually serious regarding her criticism of the new state standards but she’s not a serious person. By now, everyone has heard one of her notorious word salads that are supposed to sound wise and deep but only make her look incredibly fake and clueless. She’s just grasping for straws every time she opens her mouth.
Sensible, reasonable people would never read the line “slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit” and conclude that slaves benefited from being enslaved.
It’s just a historical fact that slaves who were forced to learn a skill fared better than those who were stuck doing manual labor. It also follows that the slaves who eventually gained freedom had better chances if they had learned skills outside of manual labor. That does not mean that slaves benefited from slavery. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand this.
This one line does not suddenly make slavery less brutal, inhumane and wrong.
Harris is desperate to score cheap points any way she can get them but it isn’t going to help her gain popularity. No one likes her and that’s another truth she’s going to have to accept.
